Dr. Dana Jennings was born and raised in Los Angeles. She graduated with a degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University. While an undergraduate, she lived and studied in Seville, Spain. Upon graduating from college, Dr. Jennings worked in politics. Due to her desire to make a difference in the lives of others, she then lived and worked in the Middle East. While there, she worked with disabled children, started a preschool for new immigrants and educated herself on the issues confronting the region.
Dr. Jennings earned her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, with an area of concentration in women’s health. While in medical school, Dr. Jennings traveled to Cuba, studying complementary medicine as well as learning about Cuba’s medical infrastructure. Dr. Jennings did her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Dr. Jennings is fluent in Spanish and has dedicated time to care for the medically underserved.
While in private practice in Colorado, Dr. Jennings was on the admissions committee at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and was a clinical faculty member of the medical school. Dr. Jennings continues to be involved with teaching clinicians.
Dr. Jennings is married with two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
